Proposed Solution
EAGLE Ride Tanzania is a digital platform for boda boda, bajaji, and taxi services. It will allow passengers to request rides, agree on fares, identify drivers, make cash or digital payments, and receive receipts. Drivers will be able to see their earnings and deductions, while authorized government bodies will access permitted transport records.
Innovation
The innovation is the combination of transparent fare agreements, clear driver earnings, connected ride-payment records, and lawful government oversight in one platform. The system is also designed to support low-end Android phones, weak networks, and cash payments.
Expected Impact
The project is expected to improve trust between passengers and drivers, increase financial transparency, support better transport regulation, improve payment accountability, and promote digital inclusion in Tanzania.
