MKULIMASHIELD

Problem Statement

Smallholder farmers increasingly rely on digital and informal channels to buy seeds, fertilizer, pesticides and farming equipment. However they may have difficulty confirming whether a seller is genuine or whether a product is authentic. This creates opportunities for scams, counterfeit products, misleading offers and fraud payment requests. As a result, farmers may face financial losses and difficulties in making informed purchasing decisions due to limited access to reliable verification information.

Proposed Solution

On solving the available problems MkulimaShield operates using an AI driven risk assessment engine to flag suspicious vendor behavior, paired with cryptographic hashing and distributed ledger technology to maintain tamper proof supply chain records. Additionally, users can instantly scan QR codes on product packaging via mobile interfaces to verify authenticity before purchase, while administrators monitor platform compliance through centralized oversight dashboards.

Innovation

1.)AI Driven Predictive Risk Scoring MkulimaShield doesn’t purely rely on basic user reviews like how other e-commerce directories do . 2.)Cryptographic Supply Chain Traceability. It moves beyond simple catalog listings by utilizing distributed ledger technology and cryptographic hashing to create tamper proof verification trails for product batches. 3.)Mobile QR Code Authenticity Checks. It provides smallholder farmers with instant, field level product validation via QR-code scanning on packaging, bridging the gap between complex cybersecurity tools and everyday rural accessibility

Expected Impact

The impacts that can be observe by observing 01.)Reduction in agricultural fraud. 02.)Increased market stucture 03.)Improved Supply Chain Traceability. 04.)Empowerment trough accessibilityj
