Cybersecurity UDOMVulnForge: AI-assisted smart contract vulnerability mutation engine.
Problem Statement
Smart contracts are increasingly used in administrative and financial services, but it is difficult to know how well security tools can detect their vulnerabilities. Tools such as Slither, fuzzers, and AI scanners need realistic and reproducible vulnerable contracts for testing, but such datasets are limited and difficult to create.
Proposed Solution
The project solves the problem of testing how well the security tools can detect the vulnerabilities in the smart contracts by automatically creating controlled vulnerable version of smart contracts and testing them to confirm that the vulnerabilities are real.
Innovation
VulnForge is innovative because its controlled Mutation Engine systematically transforms legitimate smart contracts into realistic, reproducible vulnerable variants for benchmarking and evaluating smart contract security tools. Also, AI is used to suggest mutation targets, generate candidate tests and writing reports.
Expected Impact
VulnForge will improve smart contract security testing by providing developers, researchers and auditors with a systematic way to evaluate security tools and identify weaknesses in their detection capabilities.
