A structured, competitive talent-identification programme for emerging blockchain professionals. Participants choose a track, learn through structured sessions, complete practical exercises, solve an open-ended problem, and defend their solution to a panel. Scoring is cumulative across all 4 stages - the goal is to measure the person and their potential, not only the final idea.

Areas of Focus

Blockchain Data, DeFi & Intelligence

For people interested in on-chain analytics, DeFi protocol analysis, quantitative research, MEV, and blockchain intelligence. Core skills: SQL, Python, statistics, APIs, data visualization, Dune-style analytics, blockchain explorers.

Blockchain Development & Engineering

For people interested in building smart contracts, DApps, protocols, wallets, and blockchain applications. Core skills: Solidity/Rust, APIs, distributed systems, cryptography fundamentals, Git, testing and debugging.

Blockchain Infrastructure & Emerging Technologies

For people interested in protocol design, cryptography, zero-knowledge proofs, scalability, interoperability and blockchain research. Core skills: Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, distributed systems, cryptography, consensus mechanisms.

Blockchain Policy, Governance & Regulation

For people interested in blockchain policy, regulation, compliance, governance, and institutional adoption. Core skills: regulatory research, policy analysis, risk assessment, compliance frameworks - particularly relevant for government programmes.

Blockchain Security & Forensics

For people interested in smart-contract security, auditing, vulnerability research, blockchain investigations and threat analysis. Core skills: Solidity/Rust, EVM, threat modelling, Foundry/Hardhat, static analysis, fuzzing and blockchain forensics.

Blockchain Solutions & Product Innovation

For people who are strong at identifying institutional/business problems and designing blockchain-based solutions. Core skills: systems thinking, requirements analysis, product development, blockchain architecture and business analysis.

What to Submit
Choose one of the six tracks below and follow that track throughout all stages. Stage 1 - Curiosity & Independent Learning (20% of total) After your track introduction, independently explore blockchain. Submit a Learning & Research Portfolio covering: what you learned, independent research conducted, resources explored, new concepts discovered, questions you developed, and your reflections on what you don't yet understand. Guiding question: "What did you do when nobody was telling you what to learn?" Stage 2 - Practical Application (25%) Complete a hands-on practical exercise relevant to your track: Development - build a small DApp or smart contract Security - investigate a vulnerable contract Data - analyze real blockchain data DeFi - investigate a protocol or mechanism Infrastructure - reproduce or experiment with a blockchain mechanism Solutions - develop a technical architecture The output need not be production-ready - what matters is the process of experimentation. Stage 3 - Open-Ended Problem Solving (25%) Receive an open-ended problem relevant to your track and develop a concept, prototype, or technical solution. You decide: does blockchain make sense? What architecture? What data belongs on-chain vs off-chain? What are the risks? Stage 4 - Final Presentation & Technical Defence (30%) Present your solution to the panel for a live technical defence. Be ready to answer: Why blockchain? Why this architecture? What alternatives did you consider? What is your biggest security risk? What would you change if you started again? This stage reveals whether you genuinely understand your work.
